Hunting FAQ

Hunting on public land is subject to the rules established by the agency that oversee that state property (DEC, Parks, etc). To see if a particular property allows hunting or fishing, you should contact that property directly. If they do allow such activities, they may also require the “visitor” to get an access permit.

If the reservoirs is owned by NYC DEP you will need to get the access permit from NYS DEP please visit https://www1.nyc.gov/site/dep/recreation/recreation.page.

Other areas that may require access permits would have to be researched online by you.
