Hunting FAQ

Answer:

Hunting related licenses and trapping licenses are valid for the license year and the seasons they relate to, within that license year.

The license year begins 9/1 and ends 8/31 annually. Ex: if someone bought a hunting license and turkey permits in March 2022 the hunting license would be valid until 8/31/22 (valid for small game seasons that may be open) while the turkey permits would be valid for Spring Turkey in May 2022 (and the youth turkey hunt at the end of April for 12-15 year old hunters).

Someone looking to hunt in the fall of 2022 would need to purchase a new license when they go on sale in August of 2022.
